Mawddach Pizza
Mawddach Pizza in Llanelltyd is near Dolgellau. You can walk there from Bryn Adda! It has stunning views across the estuary and of Cader Idris, and offers gourmet Napoltana Pizza. Takeaway and Eat-in, booking essential for both.

A stunning café can be found in a listed old ironmongery in Dolgellau which was formerly the parliament of Owain Glyndwr. It serves great coffee, a wide range of teas, snacks and also doubles as an Internet café. Breakfasts are hale and hearty. It has board games too.

Y Meirionydd, Smithfield Square
The Meirionnydd Townhouse in the centre of Dolgellau has been providing comfortable rooms and good food for over one hundred and fifty years, first opening as the Talbot Inn in 1865. Y Sospan, Dolgellau
Y Sospan dates back to the 1606, tucked away from the main square in the old town of Dolgellau. Y Sospan is full of character from it original slate floor to the old jail door that leads to our large restaurant with it big fire place and it hand design peace up above. The large restaurant is perfect for dinner parties as it can seat up to 50 people.
Cross Foxes
Between Dolgellau and Tal Y Llyn- a few miles form the house. A varied and modern bar menu and you can sit in the bar of the restaurant. All their meat is locally sourced. Lovely setting and with amazing views over the mountains and valleys. Booking essential.
Ynyshir (formerly Ynyshir Hall)
In Eglwys Fach, Machynlleth – Recent winner of a Michelin star. The hotel is beautifully located by the Dyfi estuary and RSPB bird sanctuary. Limited availability but worth a try!

Offers good pub food and a warm welcome.

Riverside at Pennal
The Glan Yr Afon/Riverside is a family run country pub; but very much lean towards being a restaurant. The owners strive to make everyone feel welcome whether it be for a quick pint or meeting with friends and family for lunch or dinner in the bar or restaurant.
Café at the Centre for Alternative Technology
Very good and serves great soups and vegetarian main dishes. It’s great for children too with a safe and stimulating play area right outside.
Hennighans, Machynlleth
"Hennighan's Top Shop is a traditional fish and chip takeaway that takes great pride in the good food they serve. An excellent wine merchant selling wines from all over the world, and also has lovely variety of Welsh and European deli foods. A must visit on your trip into Dolgellau!
